The California Independent System Operator, has extended a statewide Flex Alert that was issued yesterday, through today. Due to hot weather affecting much of California and the West, and tight energy supply margins, ISO is asking residents to reduce electricity conservation from 4 to 9 p.m., when the grid is most stressed due to higher demand and solar energy production falling.
