A Lakeport man has been arrested for driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter after a fatal head-on crash. According to the California Highway Patrol’s Clear Lake Area office, at 7:26 a.m. yesterday, 35-year-old Steven Michael Pruitt, was driving westbound on the Nice-Lucerne Cutoff when he crossed the solid double yellow lines, and collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle. The driver in th vehicle that was struck died at the scene. During the on-scene investigation, it was determined that Pruitt was under the influence of drugs, and he was placed under arrest.
