The Hopkins Fire at Hopkins St and North State St. near Capella in Mendocino County was last reported to be 275 acres and 10 percent contained, with forward progress stopped. The fire, which started yesterday afternoon, caused evacuations and late last night, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office announced residents on Lake Mendocino Drive from east side Calpella North to Milani Drve have been reduced to an evacuation warning. This includes the Oakie Flats area. Cal Fire says the cause of the fire remains under investigation.
