Highway 20 at Marina Drive near Lake Mendocino was closed last yesterday afternoon due to a fatal crash. The California Highway Patrol’s Ukiah Area office reports that the driver of a Dodge Ram Pickup truck was going eastbound on the Highway when he lost control, crossed the double yellow lines into the westbound lane, and collided head-on with a 2017 box truck driven by a man from Ukiah. The driver of the pickup sustained fatal injuries. The box truck driver had minor injuries. Investigators suspect alcohol and/or drugs were possible factors in the crash.
