This week, Insurance Commissioner Ricardo Lara ordered insurance companies to preserve residential insurance coverage for more than 325,000 policyholders who have been affected by devastating Northern California wildfires, including the Cache fire. The moratorium includes Governor Newsom’s July 23, August 5, August 10, August 17, August 30, and September 7 Declarations affecting parts of Lake, and Mendocino counties.
