The Lake County Board of Supervisors approved the purchase of 124 acres in Nice, this week. The property will be part of the Middle Creek Flood Damage Reduction and Ecosystem Restoration Project. the county still has more property to purchase for the project, but officials say this purchase is key because the property borders the Rodman Slough. The county is using a $15 million dollar grant from the California Department of Water Resources to purchase land.
