Lake County’s E.R. Departments Stretched by Current COVID Caseload

Lake County’s Emergency Departments are stretched due to the current COVID-19 caseload. The Health Services Department has received reports some people with mild symptoms that can be associated with COVID-19, have continued to utilize local Emergency Rooms for COVID testing. As a result, the public health department is directing residents to other available resources for COVID-19 testing and vaccination, as emergency rooms must be reserved for those in need of immediate care.

At this time, people with mild symptoms are asked to contact their medical providers and nursing advice lines. Testing sites include: OptumServe at Lower Lake Town Hall, and Rite Aid in Clearlake and Ukiah.
