Governor Gavin Newsom signed an executive order yesterday to support the state’s hospitals and schools amid the surge in COVID cases due to the Delta variant. The Governor says the executive order will ensure the state’s health care facilities continue to have the staffing and resources needed to prevent potential strain on the state’s health care delivery system. It also provides staffing flexibility for schools to ensure continuity of in-person instruction for all students.
