The COVID-19 variant is confirmed to be circulating in Mendocino County. Public Health Officer Dr. Andy Coren told the Board of Supervisors this week his office was recently informed of a cluster that existed in Mendocino County of the much more transmissible, and possibly more virulent, Delta variant. As of now, all the known variants have been identified in the county, but Dr. Coren stressed that all the variants are still susceptible to the vaccines.
