Lake County’s testing COVID-19 positivity and daily case rates have begun to increase after an all-time low during mid-June. According to an update from the public health department, two cases of the more contagious Delta Variant have now been confirmed in Lake County. Health officials say this is a stark reminder COVID-19 remains a present and evolving threat, and add that individuals who are unvaccinated continue to face significant risk of severe illness.
