An incident on the Coyote Valley Indian Reservation last week, where a suspect barricaded himself inside a shed, ended peacefully, as MCSO’s SWAT team used verbal negotiations to persuade the man to surrender. Mendocino County Sheriff Matt Kendall attributes the outcome to hard work, training, tools and trust. He also is thanking the community who expressed their support for the deputies who were working at the scene. Kendall called the outpouring of messages, humbling.
