A motorcyclist died after a collision with a semi traveling along Highway 20 in Lucerne. The California Highway Patrol’s Clear Lake Area office reports that the crash happened just before 1 on Friday afternoon. The 70-year-old motorcyclist was operating a 2009 Harley-Davidson and going westbound on Highway 20 east of Rosemont Drive. The semi was going eastbound. As both vehicles approached, the motorcyclist entered the opposing lane of traffic and collided with the truck and trailer. The motorcyclist was transported by ambulance to Sutter Lakeside Hospital, where he died of his injuries.
