Lake County’s Risk Reduction Authority hosted a virtual town hall yesterday focused on wildfire preparedness. Cal Fire and South Lake County Fire Protection District Chief Paul Ducan said fuel reduction through vegetation management is the key to creating a good defensible space. A speaker from the County’s Code Enforcement Department said this year they are focusing on enforcing the Hazardous Vegetation Abatement Ordinance around homes.
