It’s Wildfire Preparedness Week, and CALFIRE says the number of acres burned so far this year is nearly 700% more than the acres burned this time last year. Lake County and the Lake County Risk Reduction Authority will host a virtual town hall this evening to discuss this fire season and how community members can be ready for it. The meeting starts at 6 p.m. and can be viewed via, Lake County PEG TV (Mediacom Channel 8), Facebook and the county’s YouTube Channel.
