Lake County Special Districts Implements Stage 1 in the Drought Management Plan

The Lake County Board of Supervisors took action by Resolution yesterday to ratify the Proclamation declaring a Local Emergency due to Drought Conditions which was made by Sheriff Brian Martin on Thursday, May 6. As a result of local conditions and the declaration Lake County Special Districts is implementing the first Stage in the Drought Management Plan for the water districts they manage. Stage 1 encourages voluntary conservation measures and compliance with any State conservation requirements. The goal is to achieve a 20% reduction in consumption through the Stage 1 efforts.
