While Lake County is getting closer to the Red Tier in the state’s reopening plan, it will remain in the most restrictive Purple Tier for now. Health officials told the Board of Supervisors yesterday that the county’s COVID-19 case rate reached its lowest point since October. Dr. Gary Pace said the numbers will continue to improve as more weekly vaccine doses become available. Currently Lake County is receiving about 2,000 vaccine doses weekly.
