A COVID-19 outbreak at an assisted living facility in Ukiah may involve a virus variant. Mendocino County Health Officer Dr. Andy Coren says they are investigating further. As of Friday, 23 residents and seven staff members at Mountain View assisted living on South Dora Street had tested positive for COVID-19. Two of the residents were hospitalized, and one passed last week. Amny of those infected had only 1 vaccine dose. As of Friday, Mendocino County currently has eight people hospitalized, with two people in intensive care. There have been 42 deaths in the county.
