Anderson Marsh State Park Receives Grant

Anderson Marsh State Historic Park will have a restored entrance meadow thanks to a Wildfire Resiliency and Prevention Fund grant from the California State Parks Foundation. This area burned in the 2016 Clayton fire.

New Record Catch at Clear Lake

Dave Burruss set new Clear Lake and California state records for a black crappie this week when he caught a 4 pound, 5.44-ounce fish. The old state record was 4 pounds, 1 ounce. The new record was weighed on a state-certified scale. Burruss is the owner of Clear Lake Outdoors in Lakeport.

Lakeport Crime Down in 2020

During this week’s City Council Meeting, the Lakeport Police Department presented a crime report. In 2020, the department received had 5,820 calls for service and had a total of 9,093 incidents within the city limits.
