There are still about 1,000 people in Mendocino County who have been without power since January 26th following last week’s winter storm. About 7,000 customers were still without power January 29, but PG&E says that number was significantly reduced. Most power should be back on today, but PG&E says a few hundred residents in Willits may not have power back until tomorrow. Residential customers who are without power for more than 48 hours due to a severe event may qualify for Storm Inconvenience Payments under the Safety Net Program. If customers feel the $100 credit does not cover losses, they can file a claim at www.pge.com/claims.
