Local residents will join others across the state today rallying for students be able to play sports. The Let Them Play Rally calls for middle and high school sports to resume. The rally for Lake County parents and students will take place from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at Museum Park in Lakeport. Those attending are asked to wear face masks and respect social distancing requirements. The California Interscholastic Federation said games for fall sports will not begin until later in the year, depending upon an area’s color tier for COVID-19, but many parents believe its already safe enough for students to play now.
