Seniors 65 and over in California will be able to get a vaccine sooner than previously Under new guidelines from the California Department of Public Health, people in Phase 1A of the state’s tiered system, which includes health care workers and nursing home residents, are still eligible to receive vaccines. Then seniors 65 and older will be next in line. Previously seniors 75 and older were in tier 1b. The change follows recommendations this week from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
