UUSD Reminds Drivers About Safety as Kids Go Back to School

It’s back to school for Ukiah Unified School students and school officials are reminding drivers to stay alert and keep kids safe. UUSD says it’s never more important for drivers to slow down and pay attention than when kids are going back to school. Back to school brings more traffic congestion. School buses are loading passengers, kids on bikes are hurrying to get to school, and parents drop their kids off before work. Students in Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten and 1st and 2nd grades are returning to the classrooms this week under a hybrid model. Starting next week, UUSD will add students in grades 3, 4, 5 and 6.
