A referendum effort could have enough signatures to repeal Mendocino County’s Cannabis Expansion Ordinance. Petitioners for The People’s Referendum to Save Our Water, Wildlife and Way of Life say they’ve collected over 6,000 valid signatures from Mendocino County citizens. If that’s the case, Mendocino County supervisors will have to either repeal the ordinance or put it to a vote of the people. The expansion, passed last month, was scheduled to go into effect on July 23rd.
