Ukiah police are coming under fire following an arrest yesterday afternoon. A Ukiah Police Department report says an officer was injured during the arrest of a man who was walking naked in traffic in the 1400 block of South State Street. UPD says the man took a fighting stance against an officer and resisted arrest after being tased and pepper sprayed three times. UPD says the suspect, identified as Gerardo Magdaleno, of Ukiah, appeared to be under the influence of a stimulant such as methamphetamine. Some are questioning the use of force during the arrest as there is video circulating showing officers punching Magdaleno in the head while he’s on the ground, resisting arrest.
