The Tomki Fire in Mendocino County is now 80-percent contained. The fire, burning at Tomki Road and Appaloosa Way, North of Redwood Valley, started Friday and burned in heavy brush and slash. It burned 22 acres.
Crews responded to a small brush fire yesterday in Potter Valley, east of Eastside Valley Road in an agricultural area. Firefighters were able to quickly get control of it.
