State Mask Mandate to Remain in Effect Until June 15

The state’s mask mandate will remain in place until June 15th. The CDC announced last week that fully vaccinated Americans do not need to wear masks or socially distance indoors or outdoors, with some exceptions. Health and Human Services Secretary Dr. Mark Ghaly said the four-week delay in California will allow businesses time to make adjustments and for more people to get vaccinated. The state’s rules say people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 do not need to wear a mask outdoors unless they are attending crowded gatherings. You must still wear masks indoors unless you are meeting with other vaccinated people. [galley]
