A Mendocino County man has been arrested for the attempted murder of his mother. Deputies responded to a home in the 77000 block of Highway 271 in Piercy, May 31 and learned 45-year-old Anton Kloiber hit his mother in the head four times with a blunt object. The 67-year-old woman was airlifted to a hospital out of county for what were described as life-threatening injuries.
