Man Convicted of Killing Girlfriend, Kidnapping & Assaulting Another Awaits Trial

A man already convicted of murder who is wanted in Washington State was arrested on kidnapping and assault charges in Mendocino County. Jack Waldrop was convicted of killing his then girlfriend and served 21 years in an Oregon prison for manslaughter. Earlier in March, Waldrop assaulted and kidnapped his girlfriend, but she escaped and was able to identify him. Four days later Waldrop was captured in Mendocino County after a slow-speed pursuit and has since been extradited back to Washington state where he’ll stand trial on June 13th on assault and kidnapping charges.
