Lake County will hire a recruitment firm to help find a new Public Health Officer. Dr. Gary Pace announced last week that he is resigning his position to return to private practice. Pace will stay on in his role until April 16th. Pace is the county’s thrird public health officer since 2017. The county plans to use the same recruiting firm to help them find a new a new Public Health director and find a candidate for the Health Department’s director of nursing – a position the county has been trying to fill for over a year.
