Crime is down in Clearlake. According to the police department’s annual report, the overall crime in Clearlake dropped 13% last year, including a 3% decrease in violent crime and a 16% decrease in property crime. Police Chief Andrew White presented the findings to the city council this week. In 2020, there were no homicides, but call volume was up with more need for crisis management and de-escalation.
