Caltrans Awards $34 Million to Fund Future Sustainable Transportation Projects

Caltrans is awarding $34 Million to fund future sustainable transportation projects in local communities, including Lake and Mendocino Counties. The grant money — including $25 million funded by Senate Bill 1, the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017 -will be used to plan sustainable transportation projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions, improve the state highway system, enhance access to safe walkways and bikeways, and increase natural disaster preparedness. $103,500 will go to the Lake County Transit Development Plan Update. Just over $177,000 will go to the Feasibility Study -Mobility Solutions for Rural Communities of Inland Mendocino County
