California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection’s Jackson Demonstration State Forest announced that there will be a temporary pause of operations on the Caspar 500 Timber Harvest Plan. A press release said the pause is to further engage with the local community. The logging operation has been stopped several times by protesters. CAL Fire says details for community meetings will come in future news releases, as well as on the CAL FIRE MEU social media channels.
