The Mendocino Unit of Cal Fire will be holding a prescribed burn today of approximately 10 acres in Howard Forest. The burn will run from 10 am to about 4:30 pm. Smoke from the burn may be visible in the area. The burn is part of the Defensible Space program, which is designed to create breaks in fuel continuity in forested areas.
