Search Efforts Underway to Find Missing Kayaker

The Lake County Sheriff’s Office is searching for a kayker who went missing on Clear Lake. Friends of 28-year-old Dylan Flanagan say he went kayaking late Sunday afternoon, heading toward Rattlesnake Island, and was reported missing when he didn’t return that evening.

Wildland Fire in Upper Lake Quickly Contained

Firefighters responded to a wildland fire at Bachelor Valley and East roads in Upper Lake yesterday. The fire was initially reported to be up to four acres and threatening several structures. Crews were able to quickly stop the forward progress.
