Ordinance Requres Lake County Land Use Applicants to Provide Hydrology Reports

The Lake County Board of Supervisors this week approved an urgency ordinance requiring enhanced analysis during the drought emergency. The ordinance requires land use applicants to provide hydrology reports. The move comes in response to the Lake County Planning Commission’s requests for increased guidance on proposed projects and water supply as the drought situation has worsened. The hydrology reports can be prepared by civil engineers, hydrologists, hydrogeologists or geologists with experience in water resources.
