Monday, a rainbow flag was raised in front of the Mendocino County Administration building after the County Board of Supervisors approved the declaration that June would be LGBTQ+ Pride Month. Local author and educator Kim Bancroft at the May 20th meeting said, “In this time of pushback against the decency of justice for all minority groups in this country, you are bringing great pride and honor to Mendocino County by flying the flag, and acknowledging this history.”
