A Sacramento man has gone missing and may have disappeared along the Mendocino Coast. Ashish Patel, 37, left home last Thursday in distress according to a close friend. The friend believes he traveled to the coast in possession of a firearm with the intent of taking his own life. Patel’s vehicle was found abandoned along a rural road in Manchester State Park but with no sign of him. Law enforcement started searching the area after Patel was reported missing on the 13th. Ashish Patel has no ties to Mendocino County. He’s described as 6 feet 3 inches tall, weighing 260 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
