PG&E and Arbor Day Foundation Offering Shade Trees to Customers

PG&E and the Arbor Day Foundation are partnering to give 1500 native California trees to customers through the Energy Saving Trees program. One can reserve a Japanese lilac, kousa dogwood, little leaf linden or serviceberry tree through arborday.org. The trees will be delivered to the homeowner at the address they specify. The Energy Saving Trees program sends the message that the right trees in the right place provide shade to communities and lead to a household’s reduction in energy use by up to 30%.
