Clearlake Police arrested a man suspected of murder after a standoff Wednesday morning. Officers were dispatched to a home in the 5900 block of James Street and found a 47-year-old man dead. A male suspect identified as Martin Jimenez, 55, who was still inside the home refused to leave. Lake and Mendocino SWAT arrived and the area closed off to traffic. Attempts to talk Jimenez out of the home failed and after several hours, chemical agents were deployed and Jimenez was arrested as he left the residence. Its unclear when the victim was killed. The case remains under investigation.
