Nevedal Resigns Effective Immediately From County Cannabis Director’s Position

The director of the Mendocino County cannabis program has resigned, effective immediately. The MendocinoVoice reports County Board of Supervisors Chair Glenn McGourty announced Kristin Nevedal’s resignation at the end of a closed session at the start of the board’s regular meeting on Tuesday. No other information regarding Nevedal’s leaving has been made available. Recently, in preparation for testimony in front of the California Senate Committee on Business, Professions, and Economic Development, Nevedal acknowledged an error of $3.2 million regarding the Local Jurisdiction Assistance Grant Program.
