License plate thefts are on the rise. Stolen plates are being used on stolen vehicles and often, those who’ve fallen victim to the theft is unaware until they are pulled over. Know your license plate number and if you find your plate missing, report it to law enforcement immediately. Lakeport PD will soon begin enforcing the state’s two license plate law.
