The City of Ukiah is seeking volunteers to remove invasive French Broom from the shaded fuel break along the Western Hills of Ukiah. The first volunteer day will be on March 4th at 8:30 AM at 300 Seminary Avenue in front of City Hall. The fuel break was created between 2018 and 2020 to reduce fire intensity and spread. French Broom is an invasive non-native plant that undermines the purpose of the fuel break. Volunteers are encouraged to RSVP to Marianne Davison at mdavison@cityofukiah.com.
