Former Social Services Employee Arrested for Theft

A former Lake County Social Services employee has been arrested for thefts from individuals under the agency’s conservatorship. 44-year-old Susan Marlowe, was a deputy public guardian and deputy public administrator for Lake County Adult Protective Services. An investigation began in April when personnel from social services reported the theft of debit cards from one of their offices. It was determined Marlowe had access to the debit cards. The investigation also found she had made over six thousand dollars worth of withdrawals from the bank account of a resident who was under conservatorship.
