The mercury soared to 106° at Ukiah Municipal Airport yesterday. This not only broke the old record of 103° for the date set in 1910, but also sets a new all-time record for the month of May. The old record for the month of May was 105° set on both May 28th, 1984 and May 29th, 1950. Triple digits were recorded yesterday across the region. Hidden Valley Lake hit 104, and Middletown recorded a high temperature of 103. A heat advisory continues for Lake and Mendocino Counties today.
