Several Structures Destoyed in Church Fire in Kelseyville

Several structures were destroyed in the Church Fire in Kelseyville, which forced community-wide evacuations. The fire was first dispatched at 3:05 p.m. on Saturday. All of Church Street was evacuated immediately after dispatch, and at 3:40 p.m. mandatory evacuations were also issued from Main Street to Highway 29. Live Oak Drive to First Street was placed under evacuation advisory. Forward progress was stopped by 4:30 p.m. The fire destroyed two homes and two outbuildings. One of the outbuildings was a large garage with two vehicles inside. The fire burned approximately 3.4 acres.
