CAL FIRE MEU reports they had 6 fires in Mendocino County over the weekend. The Turnout Fire, which is burning north of SR-253 between Boonville and Ukiah, reached 200 acres yesterday and was 20-percent contained. Personnel worked throughout the night to strengthen containment and extinguish hotspots. Firefighters are challenged by steep, rugged terrain with difficult access. The cause of this fire remains under investigation.
