Administration of the Johnson & Johnson coronavirus vaccine is being paused in California following a recommendation from the CDC and USDA. The agencies are investigating reports of blood clots in people who have received the shot. All six cases were reported in women between 18 to 48, and symptoms appeared six to 13 days after vaccination. The governor’s office said vaccine supply “will not be significantly impacted” in the state and that the pause will not affect plans to open vaccination to all eligible teens and adults as scheduled tomorrow or its plan to reopen the state’s economy in mid-June.
