The Lakeport Unified School District Board of Trustees selected a new superintendent. Matt Bullard, from Minnesota, will succeed Superintendent Jill Falconer, who is retiring at the end of the school year. Bullard, who joined last night’s meeting virtually following the announcement, said he is excited for this opportunity. Bullard has 24 years of experience in a variety of public education settings, including as a special education teacher, a secondary and alternative school principal, and 13 years as a school district superintendent. Lakeport Unified said Bullard has extensive experience enhancing educational technology to leverage academic performance for all learners. Bullard will start his new role here on July 1st.
