CAL FIRE Mendocino Unit is battling their first area wildfire of the fire season. The Turnout Fire in Mendocino County was up to 50 acres as of last night. At one point, firefighters were forced from the fire line by gusty winds and flames. The fire is located at Highway 253 and Boonville Road and does not pose a threat to either Boonville or Ukiah. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
