Public Health Officer Urges Residents to Get Vaccinated

Lake County’s Public Health Officer is urging residents to get the COVID-19 vaccine as soon as they can. Dr. Gary Pace says case rates are up due to people being more active and restrictions being loosened. Vaccine eligibility expanded yesterday to people 50 and older, and all Californians 16 and older become qualified on April 15. The health department is hosting drive-thru vaccination clinics. On Monday’s 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Lakeport Auto Movies, and Tuesdays through Thursdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Redbud Park. Schedule appointments at www.MyTurn.ca.gov.
